A brief introduction to the types of flat-coated fox terriers
Flat-coated fox terriers ( (Definite introduction)

The smooth fox terrier, native to the United Kingdom, originated in the 19th century and is divided into two types: just-haired and short-haired. The just-coated Fox Terrier (definitely introduced) is exactly the same as the short-haired breed except for its deeply rough fur.
The white fur on the flat-coated fox terrier is specially cultivated, not only to deal with foxes, but also for self-protection. Because terriers are often covered in soil when they crawl out of a pit, some unfortunate terriers will be accompanied by their own hunting companions, and some giant hounds mistake them for prey such as foxes and are brutally attacked. In order to avoid this confusion, breeders bred terriers with fox hounds, resulting in a white coat. Although the flat-haired fox terrier is not as well-known as the straight-haired fox terrier, its characteristics are very easy to identify. After the breed standard was determined in 1876, it became very popular in Europe, especially Sweden in northern Europe.
